About Melissa
Founder & Lead Designer
A hostess at heart, it’s easy for Melissa to envision a space full of friends and family. She believes a well balanced and thoughtfully designed home becomes a source of solace and a place to renew strength. It allows you to authentically open yourself and your home up to others and energizes you to engage your world. It's out of the core belief that everyone deserves to feel good in their home she that approaches her work as an interior designer.
In 2018, she joined a team at a real estate development firm in DC. Her work with developers and construction companies has positioned her to serve her clients not only with a skillful eye for design, but as an experienced project manager, speaking the language of both homeowner and professional. Deeply connected to both Washington, DC and the Triangle of North Carolina, she considers it an honor to be invited it to collaborate with her clients to create custom spaces that connect them to who they are and what they value.
About Clara
Design Assistant
Born and raised in Ohio, Clara is currently enrolled at Bowling Green State University majoring in Interior Design.
She found Melissa on Instagram and fell in love with her work. Always proactive, Clara took the initiative to reach out and started as Melissa’s intern this past summer of ’23 in Durham, NC. Clara was such a natural fit for the studio, she has stayed on board as she finishes her degree.
Having previous experience working for an architecture firm and in various vendor show rooms, she continues to bring her expertise, fresh perspective, attention to detail, and over overall go-getter energy to the team. Her favorite part of the design process is selecting materials and finishes.
